Isocaproate Profile

(ester)

Isocaproate, it is not an anabolic steroid but an ester that can be attached to a steroid in the same fashion as the more popular Cypionate or Enanthate esters. Like the Cypionate and Enanthate, Isocaproate can also be attached to the testosterone hormone, but in the case of Isocaproate this will typically be the only place we see it attached. Testosterone-Isocaproate, a single ester form is virtually unheard of; if you find it then it was more than likely a specialty order, and there’s really no reason to ever need Testosterone-Isocaproate in this single ester form. Where we’ll find the Isocaproate ester most commonly and where it serves a large benefit is in testosterone mixtures; specifically Omnadren and Sustanon-250. Omnadren and Sustanon-250 are both testosterone compounds with four esters attached; four varying in size distinct esters that make up one total testosterone compound. For all intense purposes, these two compounds are virtually identical; their total makeup is almost the same with a single ester difference, and as such the same benefits can be obtained. The composition of each is as follows:

• Omnadren
- Testosterone-Propionate 30mg
- Testosterone-Phenylpropionate 60mg
- Testosterone-Isocaproate 60mg
- Testosterone-Caproate 100mg

• Sustanon-250
- Testosterone-Propionate 30mg
- Testosterone-Phenylpropionate 60mg
- Testosterone-Isocaproate 60mg
- Testosterone-Decanoate 100mg

With both compounds you have a 250mg/ml dosing of testosterone and by the mixture of small to large esters you receive the benefits associated with all forms. For example, you receive the benefits of a fast acting testosterone compound due to the Propionate and Phenylpropionate esters, and you receive the benefits of a long lasting testosterone due to the Caproate or Decanoate ester. As for the Isocaproate ester, this is a moderate sized ester that fills the role in an in-between sense between the small and large esters. At any rate, the Isocaproate ester plays an important role as it helps keep blood levels stable, and through the total compound you are receiving a total testosterone benefit for a long period of time. With all of this in mind, we want to take a look at the basic nature, the benefits of supplementation, and of course, the side-effects of use and in doing so enable you to reach the successful supplementation you desire.

As Isocaproate is merely an ester, not an anabolic steroid, we merely need to understand the hormone it is attached to, and in this case, that hormone is testosterone. Testosterone is a potent anabolic and androgenic steroid that is produced by all human beings and essentially so. Through supplementation, we are merely providing a synthetic form through exogenous administration; the body does not know the difference in this exogenous form or what it naturally produces; it is the same hormone. Playing roles on our physical, sexual and even mental health, the testosterone hormone is beyond important, and is the only thing that will truly remedy a low level condition should it exist. Of course, by providing even more testosterone than what can naturally be produced, by taking our total levels to a higher end we enhance the traits; we enhance performance as there is more testosterone available to the body. Through such supplementation, protein synthesis is enhanced, the rate in-which cells build proteins, as is nitrogen retention; nitrogen representing 16% of the total composition of all muscle tissue. Further, such supplementation increases red blood cell count, thereby increasing blood oxygenation, and even reduces glucocorticoid hormone production. For those who do not know what glucocorticoids are, these are stress hormones that destroy muscle tissue and promote fat gain.

While those are some tremendous traits, testosterone also increases Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) production; IGF-1 being a potent naturally produced peptide hormone of tremendous anabolic power; not to mention carrying tremendous rejuvenating properties. Through this and all the above mentioned traits, the total anabolic atmosphere is enhanced, your metabolism is revved and it all leads to a more effective and efficient you. Of course, you may be asking what all this means in-regards to benefits, and you may be asking what all of this means in a therapeutic sense? As it pertains to therapeutic treatment, all of the traits discussed above are found lacking and supplementation brings them back to a proper level. Further, as testosterone regulates our libido, sexual performance and even plays a role on our energy levels, clarity of thought and general disposition all such areas are improved. Of course, these Isocaproate testosterone based compounds are rarely prescribed for therapeutic purposes, generally single ester testosterone compounds are used to reach such an end; as is the case, performance is really the only concern here, and with that in mind let’s take a look.

The Benefits of Isocaproate:

The benefits of Isocaproate based compounds like Omnadren and Sustanon-250 can be broken down into two generalized categories; the benefits obtained by the traits above and what this type of compound provides in comparison to a single ester form. As discussed early on, the benefit of a testosterone mixture is to provide the best of both worlds in a small and large ester sense, and this provides both a fast acting testosterone with long lasting effects in an overall duration sense. That may sound overly simplified, but there’s really nothing more to it than that. Then we have the actual benefits based on the traits above, and as Omnadren and Sustanon-250 are almost strictly used for performance we’re only going to focus on the benefits in that light.

For the off-season athlete, the individual looking to add significant amounts of lean mass and strength, Isocaproate forms are a perfect choice as they will significantly promote both ends. Further, by the increased metabolic atmosphere, you are now able to gain more lean mass with less body-fat accumulation, and that is invaluable. Of course, the same compounds can be used for cutting too; after all, an enhanced metabolism means increased fat-burning abilities, and as testosterone is a tremendous lean tissue preserver it’s simply an excellent choice for any cutting plan.

If that’s not enough, regardless of your purpose of use these Isocaproate based testosterone compounds will enhance your muscular endurance; they will increase your overall rate of recovery and even provide you with more energy. You will not tire out as fast, you will heal and your body will repair at a faster and more efficient rate, and if that’s not performance enhancement nothing is. In many ways, the testosterone steroid is one of the easiest to understand, one of the simplest of all, but while it may be simple it is beyond valuable and perhaps the most valuable anabolic androgenic steroid of all time. Further, when it comes to the healthy adult male, it is also one of the most well-tolerated, and there is nothing more valuable than that.

The Side-Effects of Isocaproate:

The side-effects of Isocaproate testosterone compounds will be the same as all testosterone compounds, and this largely means they are possible and generally 100% avoidable by the healthy adult male. Of course, a healthy adult male does not mean you are merely lacking a severe condition, but it also means your blood pressure and cholesterol levels are proper and you are in excellent overall health. Further, responsible use is imperative, and this means you are willing to supplement in a way that promotes the continuation of such good health; if you are causing your body harm, this cannot be labeled as responsible supplementation. In any case, let’s take a look at the possible side-effects of testosterone, discover what you can do about them and ensure your success.

If it’s a testosterone compound, and this goes for Isocaproate compounds like Omnadren and Sustanon-250 or any compound you can think of it is going to aromatize; aromatization referring to the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. As estrogen levels rise, this can lead to and contribute to some of the most common anabolic steroidal side-effects of all; thankfully, they can all be avoided. Of course, there is one side-effect that is actually guaranteed in all men who supplement but meaningless with proper use; we’ll discuss that later on but let’s take care of the possible first; the possible side-effects of testosterone include:

• Gynecomastia – as estrogen levels increase, the hormone attaches to the receptors causing gynecomastia or male-breast enlargement, but this does not have to occur. By using an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) such as Anastrozole (Arimidex) or Letrozole (Femara) you will avoid such a condition. AI’s inhibit the aromatase process from occurring, and even lower the body’s total estrogen levels; if it doesn’t exist it cannot cause a problem. Of course, Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERM’s) can also be used for this purpose such as Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex), but they are in many cases not enough. SERM’s function by binding to the receptors thereby preventing estrogen from binding; they do not inhibit aromatase or lower estrogen levels, and this means AI’s are truly our saving grace.

• Water Retention – excess estrogen due to aromatization is the culprit, and excess estrogen also makes you more sensitive to regular bloating to begin with. When you overeat, especially carbohydrates you are going to hold water, and if estrogen levels are high it’s going to be even worse. Of course, if you use an AI and control your diet, you should not have a problem, and if you’re using an AI yet still holding water more than likely this means your diet is not as proper as you may believe it to be.

• High Cholesterol – excess estrogen can contribute to high LDL cholesterol levels, but dosing and your overall lifestyle will play a larger role than anything else. For this reason, proper doses are imperative, but so is living a lifestyle that is cholesterol friendly. This means a proper diet, plenty of exercise and avoiding all activity that might have a negative effect. If you can do this, assuming you do not have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol you should be fine.

• High Blood Pressure – excess estrogen can contribute to a high blood pressure, but dosing and your overall lifestyle will play a larger role than anything else. For this reason, proper doses are imperative, but so is living a lifestyle that is blood pressure friendly. This means a proper diet, plenty of exercise and avoiding all activity that might have a negative effect. If you can do this, assuming you do not have a genetic predisposition to high blood pressure you should be fine.

As we mentioned, the above side-effects are possible, but there is one effect that is guaranteed in all who supplement; the suppression of your natural testosterone production. This is not a unique concept to Isocaproate testosterone compounds or any testosterone compound; in-fact, it’s a concept that will hold true with most all anabolic steroids. Of course, natural testosterone suppression can lead to a low testosterone condition, but in your case, since you’re supplementing with exogenous testosterone this is of no concern; after all, you’re providing your body all it needs. Even so, as natural production has been suppressed this will cause your testicles to atrophy, but there is good news. Once all exogenous steroid use is discontinued and all the exogenous steroidal hormones have cleared your system your testicles will return to their normal size as natural testosterone production will have begun again. It must be noted; recovery is assuming you did not severely damage your HPTA due to poor supplementation practices, and that you did not suffer from low testosterone prior to supplementation.
